Tedia Consulting (“Tedia,” “we,” “us”) builds and manages ecommerce stores for brands. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. It covers our website, tedia.consulting, and the services and software integrations we run for our clients, including our marketplace apps for TikTok Shop, Amazon and Walmart.
Information we collect
From website visitors. If you contact us or book a call, we collect what you send us, such as your name, email address, company and message. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site. These tools use cookies and may record your browser type, device, pages viewed, approximate location, and how you scroll and click on pages. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
From our clients. When a client hires us, we collect business contact details and the account access needed to do the work.
Through our marketplace integrations. When a seller authorizes one of our apps on Shopify, TikTok Shop, Amazon or Walmart, we access the data needed to provide the service. This is mainly product catalog data (titles, descriptions, images, prices, SKUs, UPCs and brand details), inventory levels and order status. Our integrations are designed to avoid storing buyer personal data. If we access order information that includes a buyer’s name or shipping address, we use it only to fulfill or track that order on the seller’s behalf, and we don’t keep it longer than needed.
How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, operate and support the services our clients hire us for
- sync product listings, inventory and orders between a seller’s store and the marketplaces they sell on
- respond to questions and communicate with clients
- keep our systems and our clients’ accounts secure
We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t use marketplace data for advertising or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How we share information
We share information only when the work requires it:
- Platforms our clients use, such as Shopify, TikTok Shop, Amazon and Walmart, to carry out the actions the seller has authorized.
- Service providers that host or support our work, such as website hosting and email, under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal reasons, when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of our clients, users or Tedia.
Where data is stored
We store and process data in the United States.
How we protect data
API credentials and client data are stored only on encrypted, access-controlled company workstations and are never committed to source control. All data in transit uses HTTPS. Access is limited to the Tedia staff working on that client’s account, and our apps request only the permissions they need. We use multi-factor authentication on our business accounts and keep our systems updated.
How long we keep data
We keep client and marketplace data only for as long as we’re providing services to that client. When an engagement ends or a seller removes our app’s authorization, we delete that seller’s data and revoke our access, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Data breaches
If we learn of a security incident affecting personal data, we’ll notify the affected client and the relevant platform, such as TikTok Shop, within 72 hours and work with them to contain it.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. If your request relates to an order on a seller’s store, we’ll help that seller and the platform respond to it. Email us at the address below, and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Children
Our website and services are for businesses. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We review this policy at least once a year and update it when our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
